Why is Vision Blurry After Cataract Surgery?
Immediately after cataract surgery, your eyes need time to adjust and heal. Some common reasons for blurry vision include:
- Corneal swelling – The eye’s surface may swell slightly after surgery, causing temporary blurriness.
- Pupil dilation – The pupil is often dilated during surgery, and it takes time to return to normal, affecting vision clarity.
- Healing process – The eye needs time to adapt to the new intraocular lens (IOL), which can cause initial blurriness.
- Post-surgery medications – Some prescribed eye drops may cause slight haziness as they coat the eye’s surface.
How long does blurriness last?
